Should organizations cut back in fundraising during these bad economic times?
This is the best time for organizations to identify and cultivate donors. This is the time to cast your heart-warming vision that is results-oriented to current and prospective donors. If you are doing a good job cultivating now, then when the economy turns around these donors will be ready to support your cause. Go Big! Enterprise believes that developing and following a solid and strategic fundraising plan is what all nonprofits and ministries should be doing during a down economy.

It is tough to convince board members to spend more money and time on fundraising when money is tight.
ReplyDeleteIt nice to have board members who are supportive of your cause by giving you their time, talent and advice. But it is critical for them to personally donate to your organization and be willing to reach out to their network of influence to financially support your needs. If your need is to spend money to make money, then they can come together as a group to underwrite your fundraising expenses.
